NANNETTE V. MACIEJUNES has been Executive Director of the Columbus Museum of Art since 2003. Prior to that, she was a curator for twenty years, culminating in her tenure as Senior Curator and Director or Collections and Exhibitions at Columbus. She has lectured, written, and organized numerous exhibitions on American art. Most notably, she was co-curator of Elijah Pierce Woodcarver (1992); The Paintings of Charles Burchfield: North by Midwest (1997); and Illusions of Eden: Visions of the American Heartland (2000). She received her undergraduate degree at Denison University and did graduate work in art history at The Ohio State University. She is a graduate of both Stanford’s Executive Program for Nonprofit Leaders and the Getty Leadership Institute for Museum Management. In 2013, the CMA was awarded an Institute of Museum and Library Services National Medal. She also was appointed Adjunct Assistant Professor in Ohio State’s Arts Administration, Education, and Policy Program in 2018.
