Frederick Luis Aldama

Frederick Luis Aldama is Arts & Humanities Distinguished Professor of English, University Distinguished Scholar, and University Distinguished Teacher at The Ohio State University. He is the award winning author, co-author, and editor of 36 books. He is editor and coeditor of 9 academic press book series as well as editor of Latinographix, a trade-press series that publishes Latinx graphic fiction and nonfiction. Aldama is creator of the first documentary on the history of Latinx superheroes in comics as well as creator and curator of website, The Planetary Republic of Comics. He is author of the forthcoming sci-fi graphic novel, 2041 and the children’s books, With Papá and The Advetures of Chupacabra Charlie. He is founder and director of the Ohio Education Summit Award, Columbus Council Award, and Obama White House Hispanic Bright Spot winning LASER/Latinx Space for Enrichment & Research.
